Paid placement. One product per zone. If someone pays 1.5×, their product replaces yours. No refunds.
1. What OwnCity sells
OwnCity sells paid placement of your logo and link on a zone of a map. It is advertising space on a website. It is not land, property, tenancy, or any legal ownership of a neighbourhood, address, or area.
2. One product per zone
Only one product can be live on a zone at a time. When a new product is approved for a zone, the previous product is removed from that zone.
3. Price and replacement
A zone starts at the listed rate. Anyone can replace the product currently live on that zone by paying the current price × 1.5. That new amount then becomes the zone's current price, and the next replacement costs 1.5× that.
4. No refunds
Payments are non-refundable. That includes being replaced by someone paying 1.5×, having your submission rejected, changing your mind, taking your product offline, or asking to be removed early.
5. Approval before going live
Every submission, including its logo, is reviewed and must be approved by OwnCity before it appears on the map. Until approval, the zone shows as pending and your logo is not published.
6. Content we reject
OwnCity may reject or remove any submission that is illegal, pornographic, hateful, harassing, malware or phishing, infringing on someone else's trademark, or misleading about what the product is.
7. Billing name
Payments are processed by Razorpay. The name shown on your card, UPI, or bank statement may be the legal name of the operator behind OwnCity rather than the words “OwnCity”.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes should first be raised directly with the operator of OwnCity, and are otherwise subject to the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
9. No affiliation
OwnCity is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to BBMP, the Government of Karnataka, or any other government body.
